Go back in time by visiting this art deco style cinema and watch one of the latest blockbuster films. Situated in the heart of Wadebridge, you can park nearby and get all the usual cinema snacks and drinks.
Visit the wonderful town of St Ives with its array of shops and cafes.
But hidden at the end of town is the Tate art gallery. It‘s extremely family-friendly so your little ones won’t get too bored and has an art room just for them.
They usually exhibit local artists as well as more well-known. Parking is challenging in St Ives so we recommend taking the train from Hayle.
The original jail is no more and is now a hotel. Each room combines three cells; one for the bathroom, one for the bedroom and the other as a lobby.
There‘s an interesting self-guided tour through the dungeons and cells not converted. The jail has a large cafe and gift shop. Bodmin is just 30 minutes from Fair Skies.
Located on the quay next to the cycle hire for the Camel Trail, is the National Lobster Hatchery. The building house the processes to hatch baby lobsters and growth. They are released into their natural habitat when young. There's plenty for children to do including a play and craft area on the top floor.
You'll probably spend no more than one hour here, but it's an interesting project.
On the south coast of Cornwall is St Austell. Just 20 Cornish miles (taking about 40 minutes) brings you to a host of indoor activities for children and adults.
It's the home of China Clay and has a museum to explore. You can take a tour of the St Austell Brewery to learn the brewing process for popular beers such as Tribute and Korev.
You can learn about the history at the St Austell Town Museum located in the old jail, tour around Holy Trinity Church, or watch a film at the cinema.
